Grant Description
Grants of up to $3,000 to Connecticut nonprofit organizations in eligible regions to benefit women and girls locally or in Israel. Consideration will be given to programs that strengthen the Jewish community, promote Jewish values, and enhance the quality of life for Jewish women. Priority will be given to programs that benefit women in the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven catchment area.

The Jewish Foundation’s Women of Vision Society has been helping women and girls in the Greater New Haven area and Israel for over 20 years. This endowment, created by 100 founding members in the community, has tackled issues from domestic violence and health to acculturation and spirituality. The endowment has more than doubled its membership and giving since its creation. Since its inception, Women of Vision has disbursed funds to help seed and sustain critical programming and services for women and girls.

  5. A justifiable and appropriate budget in relation to the proposed project.
  6. If planned as an ongoing and/or multi-year program, a programmatic and financial projection that plans for sustainability and independence from Women of Vision Society funding in the future.
