Grants to USA nonprofit organizations in eligible states to improve academic performance of PreK-8 public school students. Funding is intended to support cross-disciplinary STEAM learning programs, literacy programs, and wraparound services that remove barriers to learning and academic achievement. Programs will benefit residents of Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties, Ohio; Pima County, Arizona; Alameda and San Francisco Counties, California; Dona Ana County, New Mexico; King County, Washington; and Hartford County, Connecticut.

The Stocker Foundation invests in programming from educating students to read and write to teaching students to think critically and creatively with a design and entrepreneurial mindset. 

Funding Focuses:

  •  Development of foundational reading and writing skills
  •  Implementation of project-based learning through STEAM
  •  Safety-net services that ensure students are healthy, engaged, supported, and challenged

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Stocker Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and to selected public sector activities.

The Stocker Foundation is geographically restricted and accepts grant requests from charitable entities located in, or whose services benefit residents of, Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties, Ohio; Pima County, Arizona; Alameda and San Francisco Counties, California; Dona Ana County, New Mexico; King County, Washington; and Hartford County, Connecticut.

In general, the Foundation does not award grants toward:

- Capital Campaigns
- Debt Reduction
- Individuals
- Private or parochial schools
- Public school services required by law
- Religious Exclusivism
- Research Projects
- Tickets or Advertising for Fundraising Events
