Grants of up to $45,000 to Connecticut nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for programs that benefit local youth and residents with disabilities. Applicants must contact program staff prior to applying. Funding is intended to support summertime projects and activities that are designed for youth and people with disabilities who are located in Hartford and the 29-town region. Eligible types of programs include summer camperships, enrichment opportunities, tutorial experiences, and Counselor-in-Training (CIT) programs.

The goal of the grant program is to provide children and people with disabilities with safe and enriching daycare to support working families, and to provide Hartford youth with employment opportunities and career exposure through CIT programs.

Grants will prioritize applicants that: plan and/or have experience in running in-person camp safely; incorporate active program components that encourage outdoor and/or physical activity.
