UNITE THE 41 COMMUNITIES OF EASTERN CT TO REDUCE THE IMPACT OF SUBSTANCE ABUSE, PROBLEM GAMBLING AND MENTAL HEALTH RELATED ISSUES. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH PREVENTION THEORY, NEEDS ASSESSMENT, CAPACITY BUILDING, AND ADVOCACY.

TO BUILD HEALTHIER AND SAFER COMMUNITIES FREE OF THE HARM CAUSED BY SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND RELATED CRIME AND VIOLENCE THROUGH COMMUNITY EDUCATION AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS PRINCIPALLY IN THE GREATER BRIDGEPORT CT AREA BUT ALSO THROUGHOUT CONNECTICUT.

FAITHFUL FEW MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL HAS DECLARED THEIR PURPOSE, MISSION, AND RESPONSIBILITY TO ADDRESS THE VARIOUS AILMENTS THAT PLAGUE YOUNG MEN, ON BOTH A LOCAL AND GLOBAL SCALE. ALL CULTURES SEEM TO FACE MANY OF THE SAME ISSUES DURING THIS CURRENT CLIMATE. FAITHFUL FEW MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL TRULY BELIEVES THAT BY ENGAGING THESE YOUNG MEN, A TRICKLE- DOWN EFFECT WILL BEGIN TO IMPACT SOCIETAL ISSUES INCLUDING DRUG ADDICTION, VIOLENT CRIME/MURDER, RAPE AND UNDERAGE PREGNANCIES, SINGLE-PARENT FAMILIES, HUNGER AND MALNUTRITION, LACK OF MEN WITHIN THE CHURCH, NOT TO MENTION UNEMPLOYMENT LEVELS AND EDUCATION.

In 2018 the organizations served 70 individuals and families affected substance use and/or mental health disorders. Due to the increase of opiate and heroin use in Connecticut the demand of trained recovery coaches there was a greater need to support individuals and families during the drug epidemic crisis. The program objectives is to provide a non-judgmental safe environment, train 60 new recovery coaches to learn how to assist individuals and families struggling with addictions by finding access to treatment and recovery, mental health first aid training and family support groups. A comprehensive survey was provided to all participants indicating demographics and to measure the outcome of success for the training and support groups.

TO REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF IN THE NORTH CENTRAL CT REGION CONSISTING OF SIXTEEN TOWNS, THROUGH RESEARCH, PLANNING, ADVOCACY and COORDINATION WITHIN EACH TOWN AND FOR THE ENTIRE REGION
